Your favourite band

Here's a little thread for yah!

Post up your favourite band's best song (in your opinion- live and recorded would be preferable... see my example) and perhaps a funny story about something they did. It's good to open your eyes to other members differences and I think this could perhaps be the perfect medium in which to do so...

The story behind this one... I know it sounds like they were completely smashed but bare with me...

They had just released there album "Absolution" and were becoming one of the best live bands in the world... slowly... thye had won a few awards prior to this live performance so the BBC surely knew how good they were... yet no. Muse were asked to mime. Yes. Mime.

As you would expect none of the band were very happy but Matt Bellamy convinced the bass player (Chris Wolstenholme) and the drummer (Dominic Howard) to swap places and do what they like during the performance, just as long as it didn't look like what they were playing was being produced.

Matt Bellamy spoke with the producers and convinced them to allow him a microphone, big mistake. He did, as you can hear, whatever he like. Now most of you should know that he also plays guitar so if you listen closely at the end of the chorus you can hear him say "can I have a guitar?" to someone backstage. I feel this is there funniest moment.

ok...here is a storey about a band...at there concert...the band are due on and the place holds about 2000 peeps...its is heaving... I haven't heard these guys before

anyways we get talking to some bloke who is "with the band" roadie most likely ...he's out of rizla we're out of weed, mutual benefits are organised, we smoke some coned fat ones for about 2 hours discussing music and such like and then my mate says when the f**k are they going to play...to which the guy says when I finish, talking with you lot...we looked at each other it wasn't the roadie it was the lead singer, by the time he went on the crowd was down to about 500 peeps...

best night of my life though

conan, whats kyuss best album? I like all the songs on welcome to sky valley but cant find a new copy of it anywhere

my personal fave is blues for the red sun...they only had four albums if you discount the sons of kyuss one as that is just wretch but its the demo's, and muchas gracious was a best of after they split

second favourite band... busy reading a bio on Dave Grohl I got at christmas

iv read think 2 bios on Dave Grohl but i think it would be better if he did one his self and id love go see muse live iv been told there very good live

Ive only listened to the live stuf you linked to, not the studio stuff.

man the live stuff was to show how the crowd and the band interact...and when your that close you better not suck as you get told...now you need to listen to these tracks asap
